- Abstract
The article discusses the decisions given by the U.S. supreme court in several cases related to Anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) jurisprudence in the land use conflicts. In the case Karousos v. Pardee,. the Rhole Island Supreme Court provided a history of Rhode Island's Anti-SLAPP law and explained the role of 'baselessness' analysis in the 'sham exception' to First Amendment protection. Another case, Pennsbury Village Associates LLC v. Mclntyre is also discussed.
