- Abstract
Two photographs of alien juvenile Common Wall Lizards Podarcis muralis maculiventris assigned to the Southern Alps lineage are commented. Hatchlings separate from walls occupied by adults into meadow strips. There they share the rare basking perches, occasionally with body contact. Hibernacula in cavities behind the retaining walls are used by lizards of all age classes. These hibernation communities stay together for some time after hibernation. An adult pair with eight juveniles before a hibernaculum is sentimentally interpreted as a "family".
