- Abstract
The document "Meta Learning in Metaverse" deals with the possibilities of using the Metaverse in the fields of learning and work. Companies like Meta (formerly Facebook), Microsoft, and NVIDIA are developing visions and applications for the Metaverse. The Metaverse is gaining importance not only in areas such as gaming and NFT trading but also in education and the working world. Examples of the use of Metaverse applications in higher education, vocational training, and the Chinese Academy of Governance are mentioned. The advantages of the Metaverse for learning are emphasized, such as collaboration in groups and the experience of virtual spaces. Companies can use the Metaverse in training, onboarding, and creative processes. It is emphasized that both technical and soft skills can be learned in the Metaverse. The article describes the advantages of the Metaverse in terms of interaction, avatar usage, content creation and ownership, as well as interoperability and persistence. However, there are still open questions regarding data protection, ethics, and behavior in hybrid Metaverse worlds. The Metaverse also offers solutions for the working world by enabling meetings, workshops, and customer interactions in immersive and cooperative work environments.
