- Abstract
The article argues that gender and gender identity and sexual orientation should be addressed through hard law legal structures and free trade agreements (FTA) to advance the rights of women and LGBTQ. Topics discussed include definition of the terms, hard and soft law, theory of soft international law and provisions of Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
