- Abstract
As research on traffic information processing, which collects and analyzes traffic information, is actively conducted centering on the Information Link Center, transportation systems are being test-operated and serviced. The information linkage structure is a centralized structure in which information collected through field sensors is serviced through the cloud-based traffic information system of the information linkage center via adjacent base stations. In this structure, there are limitations in terms of stability, speed, and efficiency in building a smart transportation system that requires advanced services through a transportation environment in which various information is generated, artificial intelligence, and big data technology. In this paper, we implement a traffic safety system that recognizes real-time traffic flow and traffic accidents using IoT devices, and verify the traffic flow and traffic accident recognition function through road field experiments of the implemented system. We hope that it can be used for situation prediction and follow-up response by linking with the transportation system.
