- Abstract
The Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) and the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) are organizations that provide funding for research and technology development in environmental restoration. They currently fund over 600 active projects and manage $211 million in program funds. The current focus areas include poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), installation restoration, resource conservation, and unexploded ordinance response and remediation. SERDP and ESTCP have developed a dynamic and interactive training tool called TEMPO to teach users about environmental monitoring and optimization. They have also funded projects to evaluate injectable amendments for PFAS sequestration in groundwater.
