- Abstract
The article informs that the birth rates constantly decreased in 1993 in the U.S. The birthrate for women in the U.S. decreased to the lowest point in 15 years in 1993. The overall trend of fertility began to decline after 1990. There was a decline in the percentage of infants who were born prematurely or had low birth weight. The birthrate decreased by 3% in 1993. There was a decrease in the birthrate by 2% for adolescents aged 15-19 as well as for women in their 20s. An increase in the fertility rate among unmarried people was observed in 1993.
