- Abstract
The article discusses several issues to be faced by financial executives in 2012. The U.S. is expected to experience longer debt and deficit crisis in 2012 due to the 9% unemployment rate and the downgraded credit rating given by Standard & Poor's and rating agency Fitch, which classified the debt problem as negative. Compliance to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act is to carry on to the year despite the uncertainty brought by the act. Businesses operating in the U.S. are required to adopt the eXtensible Business Report Language tags starting in 2011.
