- Abstract
A lternaria alternata is a rare etiology of phaeohyphomycosis in immunocompromised patients, which has never been reported to cause chromoblastomycosis. As far as we know, this is the first chromoblastomycosis case successfully treated with a short course of systemic antifungals and subsequent 5-aminolevulinic acid-photodynamic therapy.
