- Abstract
After the civil war that started in Syria in 2011, millions of Syrians were forced to leave their country. This migration from Syria is one of the largest forced migration in the world. As of 2017, about 3.5 million Syrian migrants in Turkey is living. Syrian migrants are scattered in various regions of Turkey. One of the regions receiving the highest migration was the Southeast Anatolia region. This migration has significant impacts on various aspects. One of these effects is the effects on the marketing applications of businesses. The aim of this study is to reveal the possible effects of migration on the marketing applications of businesses. The survey was conducted with face-toface interviews with the owners / managers of the enterprises operating in Gaziantep. Structured interview method was used in the study. Thirteen business owners / managers participated in the survey. The results of the research show that the businesses operating in the city of Gaziantep do not focus on separate marketing policies and applications for the Syrians who migrated except for a few minor changes. This study has significant limitations such as the time of research and the number of businesses where the interviews were conducted.
