- Abstract
El objetivo del presente estudio fue identificar los síntomas somáticos asociados a estados depresivos que afectan a pacientes con enfermedades crónicas y que pertenecen al programa PASAYA (Programa de Atención de la Salud del Adulto y el Anciano) de un Centro de Salud Público de Zacatecas. El diseño del estudio fue descriptivo, transversal. Para la recolecta de datos se utilizó la escala para la depresión de Hamilton. La población estuvo conformada por 100 hombres y mujeres entre 60 y 97 años. El muestreo fue tipo censo. Se encontró que el 63% de los pacientes con enfermedad crónica presentan humor depresivo, el 77% ha presentado algún síntoma somático gastrointestinal y el 64 % ha desarrollado algún síntoma de ansiedad psíquica. Es importante mencionar que el 61% de los pacientes no tiene una conciencia real de su enfermedad y sus implicaciones, situación que puede dificultar el avance y mantenimiento su bienestar integral.
