- Abstract
The article reports on the increase in the profits of Celtel Kenya in 2005. The company posted an after-tax gain of 1.3 billion shilling. The profit was the first for the mobile operator after they started the business six years ago. The increase is attributed to the strong sales and substantial improvement in efficiency after its reorganization. Gerhard May, CEO of the company, stated that listening to the customers and attending to their needs were the keys to the company's success.
