- Title
"Noah, the Preacher of (God's) Righteousness": The Argument from Scripture in 2 Peter 2:5 and 9.
- Authors
HAFEMANN, SCOTT
- Abstract
An essay is presented to suggest that the description of Noah as a preacher of righteousness reflects the biblical and epistolary contexts in the argument of the Book of 2 Peter. It discusses the identity of Noah in the biblical account, Noah's message of God's righteousness, Noah as a righteous preacher, and Noah's preaching about the covenant blessings and curses. It is the author's view that the preservation of the righteous as preached by Noah is a typology of God's future intentions.
