- Abstract
Since heavy metals may cause essential nutrient deficiency and even change the concentrations of basic nutrients in plant tissues, better understanding of how heavy metal toxicity originated from ambient air interact with main macronutrients is needed. This study investigated the effects of heavy metal containing simulated rainfall on nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of maize plants (Zea mays L.) trying to provide an assessment of interactions and balances among foliar elements, and among soil elements.
