- Abstract
The article reports on a retrospective cohort analysis which looks into the prevalence of depression among patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in Taiwan. The authors have gathered their data from a nationwide population-based database. They have identified a close-relationship between depressive disorder and neovascular AMD. Also mentioned is the proposed mechanism that link AMD to depression.
