The article focuses on the conceptual artwork of Hong Kong-based sculptor Jaffa Lam. Particular focus is given to Lam's efforts to promote social engagement through art. Topics discussed include her two month residency at the Hong Kong Museum of Art in 2008, her devotion to social reform and insights on the struggles of being a working artist in China.
