The article offers information on the U.S. criminal justice system. Topics include examines that correlation between convictions and informant testimony is a cause for concern, especially in Texas, where more people have been executed and exonerated than anywhere else in the country; and reports that criminal informant system dates back to 18th century Great Britain where Parliament offered monetary rewards in exchange for incriminating information.
