- Abstract
The article deals with the debate in the history of Israeli secular jurisprudence in the 2006 Supreme Court case of Movement for Quality Government v. Knesset. It focuses on the minority opinion written by Justice Asher Grunis in the case. A historical summary of the controversy about military deferments by yeshiva students in the Haredi sector of Jewish Israeli society is provided.
