- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a research commissioned by Skills for Health (SfH), which major in workforce and organisational development, which examines the use of assistant practitioners (APs) in the National Health Service (NHS) in England. The research found that stakeholders can clearly articulate the benefits of introducing the AP role and that their appointment is continuously driven by the increasing service capacity. Also given is a summary of some recommendations to the SfH.
