- Abstract
The article discusses the role of environmental tax policy in relation to climate change adaptation in the U.S., and it mentions several of the challenges that are associated with the efforts to adapt to extreme weather events such as Hurricane Sandy which impacted the eastern U.S. in 2012. Greenhouse gas mitigation and a cost-resource gap are mentioned, along with government revenue and the potential implementation of adaptation and carbon taxes. Natural disaster costs are examined.
