- Abstract
The article discusses the need to establish a standard in determining the reasonableness of the use of deadly force by police officers in the U.S. Also cited are the standard established by the Supreme Court in the case Garner & Graham, the move by 28 states to adopt the reasonableness standard, and the efforts by the California legislature to enact a stricter requirement than the one created by the court.
