- Abstract
The article discusses architectural design of Assize Courthouses courthouses in early nineteenth century Ireland and the reasons why they were unbuilt. Management of funding and erection of courthouses by grand juries of the local government and political reformers of Westminster has been mentioned. Criticism sustained from politicians and civil servants at Dublin Castle and Westminster as well as the British central government as a supporting element within the issue have also been elaborated.
