- Title
Keep off dieting to avoid flu.
- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study which suggest that dieting could impair the ability of the body to avoid the influenza virus conducted by researchers at Michigan State University in East Lansing. According to research team, mice who were put on a calorie-controlled diet found it harder to fight the infection than those on a regular diet. The results also indicate that the mice on the lower calorie diet took longer to recover, lost more weight and showed other symptoms of poor health.
