- Abstract
The article presents an abstract of the research paper "Transferrin is an Essential Factor for Myelination," which will be presented at the 30th American Society for Neurochemistry meeting to be held from March 14 to 17, 1999 in New Orleans, Louisiana. In the study, apo-transferrin intraparenchymal injection was administered to P5 rat pups. The results aver that the availability of transferrin is essential for maturation of oligodendrocyte and myelination.
