- Abstract
The article focuses on the presence of thrips Gynaikothrips uzeli Zimmerman, Montandoniola confusa and the Androthrips ramachandrai Karny that were associated with galls of Ficus benjamina in San Blas, Santiago Ixcuintla and Tepic of Nayarit, Mexico. It notes that Gynaikothrips uzeli Zimmerman was almost exclusively associated with the weeping fig called Ficus Benjamina. It highlights the significance of host association as the practical and less accurate way in distinguishing the species.
