- Abstract
This article reports on the case of the Quechan Indian Tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation v. U.S. Department of the Interior over the transfer of federal land to the Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation and Drainage District. The tribe filed a complaint alleging violation of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the National Historic Preservation Act by failing to properly analyze environmental and cultural impacts by allowing land for a refinery.
