- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a national survey related to bilingual education (BE). The survey was conducted at the doctoral, master's, and bachelor's levels. It aimed at determining how many graduates have embraced the field of bilingual education. According to the results of the survey majority of graduates teach students with limited English proficiency. The large chunk of the graduates with bachelor's and master's degree are professional elementary teachers. And nearly 94 percent of them are associated with Spanish-speaking students. The survey selected graduates, teachers and trainers. To conduct the survey questionnaires were distributed and telephone method was used to take down their answers. The results showed that more number of females are teachers and trainers. The most surprising fact is that teacher graduates who could not get BE-related jobs were serving as elementary teachers.
