- Title
Patient speaks out after transplant.
- Abstract
The article focuses on David Courtney, president of the Presumed Consent Policy and a post-transplant patient, who discusses the present system of organ donation and presumed consent, a new organ donor policy, in the U.S. Courtney says that the country's system of organ donation relies on altruism which fails to meet the demands of organs. Courtney recommends the presumed consent policy and says that all citizens are organ donors and each citizen holds the right of free choice.
