- Abstract
This document, published in the Journal of Neurology, discusses a case study of a 54-year-old man who presented with dizziness and oscillopsia. The patient had previously experienced a right dorsal pontine infarction and subsequent right internuclear ophthalmoplegia (INO). The examination revealed conjugate torsional ocular oscillation and palatal tremor. The patient was diagnosed with oculopalatal tremor (OPT), which is a delayed complication of damage to the dentatorubro-olivary pathway. The study suggests that torsional pendular nystagmus may occur as a delayed complication of a focal lesion affecting the central tegmental tract adjacent to the medial longitudinal fasciculus (MLF).
