- Abstract
The article presents a study which identifies the brassinazole-insensitive-long hypocotyls 4 (BIL4) with the use of chemical genetics. It states that BIL4 is an evolutionary conserved transmembrane protein. It aims to present its function as an essential component of plant cell elongation that occurs upon Brassinosteroid (BR) signaling. The study concludes that BIL4 has an important role as a component of BR signaling in cell elongation which is needed in plant development.
