- Abstract
The article provides information on the significance of story in the society in California. It is stated that whoever tells the story owns the truth and the truth is a very negotiable commodity in the modern world of manipulation. In addition, the belief of what is true and the ability of manipulating it through stories has everything to do with politics. It is averred that politicians are brilliant storytellers assembled around a big fire attempting to conjure the audience. It is inferred that some people are very periled by the power of stories and want to hold the stories locked up at all costs.
