- Title
Divine hiddenness and inculpable ignorance.
- Authors
Lovering, Robert P.
- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on Michael J. Murray's book "Divine Hiddenness: New Essays" about God's hiddenness. He argues that Murray fails to recognize that if God is hidden, then some people lose the ability to create a morally significant character through inculpable ignorance of the moral status of actions. It is no more compatible with the ability to develop morally significant characters and this produces an argument for the nonexistence of God.
