- Authors
GRUENFELD, LEOPOLD W.
- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the problem in the selection of candidates for the Personal Development Program at the Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. It states the main purpose of the study to derive a battery of tests that will assist in predicting the candidate's ability in meeting the program's academic standards. The study used several methods including the sampling of 51 executives who have attended the summer session in 1959 of the Personal Development Program, intelligence and achievement tests, and multiple correlations. Study reveals that the combinations of predictors fail to increase the efficiency of predicting program's success. The study concludes the intellectual nature of the required aptitudes in the liberal arts programs for the executives.
