- Abstract
The article reports that there are five winners of the 1992 Quality Improvement Prototype (QIP) Award, given by the U.S. Federal Quality Institute. The QIP Award, similar to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, is presented to federal organizations that use total quality management concepts to improve the quality of their services. This year's award winners are: The Aeronautical Systems Division, Department of the Air Force; The Patent and Trademark Office, Department of Commerce; The Wage & Hour Division, Department of Labor, San Francisco Region; The Defense Contract Management District Northeast, Defense Logistics Agency; The Veterans Affairs Office and Insurance Center, Department of Veterans Affairs.
