- Abstract
The classic material of sandstone is closely related to its parent rock. Although there will be some transformation during the deposition process, its geochemical composition is still mainly controlled by its parent rock. Therefore, restoring the provenance of the clastic material is of great significance to the analysis of the sedimentary evolution and uranium mineralization in the study area. By means of microscopic identification and rock geochemical analysis, the petrological and geochemical characteristics of sandstone in the lower member of Toutunhe Formation in the study area was discussed, and the characteristics of sandstone debris was identified. The research showed that the sandstone in the lower member of Toutunhe Formation in the study area was dominated by near-source sedimentary lithic sandstone. The parent rock types were intermediate-acid igneous rock, pyroclastic rock, sedimentary rock and metamorphic rock, and the weathering degree was medium-strong. The characteristics of major elements reflect that the sandstones in the lower member of the Toutunhe Formation had relatively stable provenance and were deposited in the tectonic environment of active continental margin and continental island arc, which was also related to the tectonic environment of passive continental margin. The characteristics of trace elements indicated the warm, humid and semi-humid paleoclimate in the deposition of lower member of the Toutunhe Formation, and the sedimentary paleowater body was generally anoxic and freshwater reducing environment.
