- Abstract
The article presents the antitobacco efforts in developing nations of the World Health Organization (WHO). In many low and middle income countries, tobacco use is increasing through the years. The WHO is trying to lower the number of tobacco users in the world. The primary weapon of the WHO against tobacco use is the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC). The FCTC is an international health treaty that is legally binding.
