- Abstract
Japan Atomic Energy Agency has been developing a technology to reuse out of specification pellets as raw material powder by pulverizing them in order to effectively use them in the fuel fabrication process for fast reactors. Detailed analysis of the particle size distribution before and after pulverizing revealed that the pulverized powder consists of three types of component particles with different particle size distributions. In addition, a method to predict the particle size distribution of the pulverized powder from the particle size distribution of the feed powder was investigated.
