- Title
Epigraphica Helvetica.
- Abstract
The Epigraphica Helvetica is an epigraphic chronicle that has been published since 2015 in the Museum Helveticum. It contains reports on the epigraphic activity of the past year as well as short contributions on new discoveries or new readings of inscriptions from Switzerland. Various publications on inscriptions in Switzerland are listed, including the Corpus of Roman Inscriptions from Ticino and the Western and Eastern Switzerland. The text contains information about various inscriptions and graffiti found on archaeological finds, including a silver finger ring with an inscription in Augusta Raurica. The article deals with the interpretation of this inscription and discusses various readings and interpretations. It is speculated that the ring may have been unable to be removed from the swollen finger and intentionally deformed.
