- Title
Healthcare staff are not intentionally ageist, equality review finds.
- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a review of age discrimination in the British health sector, titled "Achieving Age Equality in Health and Social Care," conducted by Ian Carruthers and Jan Ormondroyd. The results showed that healthcare staff are not ageist by intention. The review was aimed at assisting health and social care organisations in meeting the ban on age discrimination and the new public sector equality duty in the Equality Bill. A consultation on the findings is set to be held by the government.
