- Abstract
The article examines the concept of mid-life crisis and the mid-life experiences of people with learning disabilities. Topics discussed include the Office for National Statistics' report "At what age is personal wellbeing the highest?," patients' reflection on their lives during psychotherapy sessions and contrasting views in psychology sector about the validity of psychoanalyst Elliot Jaques' idea of the mid-life being a transition phase with different meanings for men and women.
