- Abstract
The article offers information on invasive alien species of rotan or Perccottus glenii that were discovered in the waters of Croatia. It notes that the aggressive behavior, opportunism, and tolerance of P. glenii pose danger of predation to fish fauna and native amphibians. It says that the finding of rotan in Sava River is a first record in Croatia. It presents several possibilities for the presence of rotan in the country, such as increased river transport in Sava River to ports.
