- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 38-year-old Japanese female with severe congenital factor VII (FVII) deficiency and arthropathy caused by spontaneous joint bleeding. She was performed with a left total hip replacement as it has been destroyed for years. The study examines the continuous infusion of recombinant activated factor VII (rFVIIa) during surgery in a FVII-deficient of the patient. The pharmacokinetics of rFVIIa was investigated to the patient prior to the surgery.
