- Abstract
The article presents a research study which examines the prevalence and severity of gingival recession among individuals with cleft lip and palate. It notes that the findings of the study reveal that gingival recession is similar on both genders and its prevalence and severity increased with age. The most affected teeth were premolars and molars. The study suggests that teeth with gingival recession must be treated immediately especially when they are adjacent to the cleft area.
