- Abstract
This study aim to evaluate the effect of 10 cinesioterapia urogynecological sessions for urinary incontinence (UI) in active elderly women. Quantitative study, characterized by an intervention program applied twice a week. They were performed pre- and post-intervention program through an hour pad test ratings (pad test). Sample of 30 women aged ≥ 60 years, incontinent, physically active regularly. The data were analyzed with SAS version 9.3 program. For hypothesis testing, the significance level was 5%. The mean age of participants was 73.36 ± 4.53 years. A significant reduction of the weight of the absorbent before and after the intervention (p = 0.0001). Seven women (23.33%) no longer incontinent. The intervention program with 10 kinesiotherapy sessions reduced urine loss of physically active elderly women.
