- Abstract
The research aimed at building a program based on literary anecdotes approach to develop the skills of analyzing the literary text and its understanding among the student teachers specialized in the Arabic language at the College of Education at Umm Al-Qura University. To achieve the previous goal, the researcher prepared a list of the skills of analyzing and understanding the literary text necessary for the student teachers specialized in the Arabic language at the Faculty of Education at Umm Al-Qura University. In addition, this list presented to a group of experts and arbitrators to express an opinion about it, and it modified in the light of the opinions of experts and arbitrators. The researcher also prepared a test to measure the literary text analysis skills and their understanding among students, teachers specializing in Arabic at the College of Education at Umm Al-Qura University. and the researcher tested the psychometric properties these two tools (reliability and validity), then the researcher built a program based on Literary Anecdotes Approach to develop the skills of text analysis The literary and its understanding among the student teachers who specialize in Arabic at the College of Education at Umm Al-Qura University. and the study program was applied to a group of student teachers specialized in Arabic at the College of Education at Umm Al-Qura University, where the researcher used the experimental design of the group The one in the pre and post measurement of the same group. The study results revealed the building of a list of the skills of literary text analysis and understanding necessary for students teachers specialized in the Arabic language at the College of Education at Umm Al-Qura University, And the effectiveness of the study program in developing the skills of analyzing the literary text and understanding it among students specialized teachers In the Arabic language at the Faculty of Education at Umm Al-Qura University. The study recommended that the skills of analyzing and understanding literary text should be included in all academic levels, in a manner compatible with the mental and linguistic level of pupils at each stage.
