The article offers information on the adaptability and sustainability of methods for research into prosecution models for combating piracy off the coast of Somalia. It discusses the role of the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and the International Law Commission (ILC) in development of law for combating piracy.
