- Abstract
The article examines the existence of black young slaves and servants in nineteenth-century Morocco, in Muslim countries, and in Gulf States. The author discusses the relationship between slavery and religion, information on the sexual exploitation between female slaves by household males, and the kidnapping of children as a common practice in nineteenth-century Morocco. Additional topics include abduction, the impact of food shortages, and the status of women in Muslim society.
