The article analyzes several poems by Gary Snyder including "Water," "Things to Do Around a Lookout," and "Piute Creek." Particular attention is given to the motif of wandering that is present in Snyder's work, drawing on his travels through the Pacific Northwest and parts of Asia. Other topics covered include Snyder's nature poetry, sensuous experiences, and his collection "Myths and Texts."
