- Abstract
The article presents the plenary lecture delivered at the 2014 Annual UK Social Policy Association Conference on July 8, focusing on the emerging conflicts between the welfare state and the phase of contemporary capitalism called as neoliberalism. It explores the issue of social policy aimed at addressing change focusing on issues of resistance, resilience and radicalism. It mentions the author's academic writings that have contributed to the theory and practice of international social policy.
