- Abstract
Services for recognition of non-formal and informal learning are implemented, particularly for adults without a diploma in their professional field. However, we note that many of them don't know the existence of these services. This article presents the results of an exploratory research on information seeking (IS) on the web by adults who want to obtain a degree in a field in which they have years of experience. Using the Dervin Sense-Making Theory and using the associated methodology, the data collection combines the observation of a filmed IS session with an interview. The results identify the information needs, the IS tactics and the consequences of the information obtained on a possible return to Vocational training adult. The discussion highlights the importance of information in access to educational services such as the recognition of extracurricular learning.
